Troubleshooting Broadcast Errors
If messages fail to deliver, WhatsBox provides error codes from Meta's API:
| Common Error Code | Meaning | Recommended Action |
|---|---|---|
| 131026 / Message Undeliverable | Recipient phone number is not on WhatsApp or cannot receive messages. | Verify and sanitize contact numbers in your CRM. |
| 131049 / Out of 24h Window | Attempted to send a session message instead of an approved template. | Use an approved WhatsApp template for outbound messaging. |
| 131056 / Rate Limit Hit | Broadcast exceeded your phone number's 24-hour tier limit. | Warm up your number gradually to increase your messaging tier. |
| Payment Issue | Meta Business Suite payment method missing or declined. | Add a valid credit card in Meta Business Suite under WhatsApp Accounts. |
Best Practices for WhatsApp Broadcasts
- Always obtain clear opt-in: Only message contacts who explicitly consented to receive WhatsApp updates from your company.
- Include clear opt-out options: Mention "Reply STOP to unsubscribe" in promotional templates.
- Personalize with variables: Use the customer's first name (
{{1}}) and relevant order/account data to maximize engagement and minimize user blocks. - Segment your audience: Send targeted broadcasts to active buyer segments rather than blasting your entire database at once.
